롤러 체인과 마찰 구동 방식 중 어떤 것을 선택할지는 사용 환경에 따라 달라집니다. 롤러 체인은 오염된 환경에 대한 저항력이 뛰어나며, 벌크 제품 이송에 더 적합합니다. 피벗 체인은 부피가 큰 제품을 이송하도록 설계되었습니다. 이상적으로 두 축의 중심 간 거리는 체인 피치의 30~50배여야 합니다. 스프로킷의 크기는 사용 환경에 따라 결정되며, 이는 체인의 피로 강도와 내구성에도 영향을 미칩니다.
구동 체인과 롤러 체인 사이에는 몇 가지 중요한 차이점이 있습니다. 가장 눈에 띄는 차이점은 재질입니다. 구동 체인은 일반적으로 롤러 체인보다 내구성이 뛰어납니다. 그러나 두 체인 모두 오염된 환경에 취약합니다. 솔루션 체인은 때때로 고하중 작업에 사용되는 반면, 롤러 체인은 오염이 심한 환경에서 주로 사용됩니다. 실제로, 작업 현장이 매우 오염되어 있고 체인이 레일 위에서 미끄러져야 할 때 구동 체인이 많이 사용됩니다.
롤러 체인에 새로 사용된 윤활유는 먼지와 기타 이물질을 체인 표면으로 끌어당겨 힌지 플레이트, 부싱, 롤러와 같은 체인의 하중 지지 부품으로 윤활유가 침투하는 것을 방지합니다. 먼지가 이러한 부품으로 유입되면 윤활유와 먼지가 마찰을 일으키는 페이스트를 형성하여 마모를 가속화합니다.
무윤활 롤러 체인은 체인을 더 오랫동안 깨끗하게 유지해 줍니다. 따라서 위생 기준이 엄격한 구역에서 설치 및 사양을 정하기가 더 쉽습니다. CZPT 무윤활 롤러 체인은 NSF-H1 윤활 기준을 충족합니다. 하지만 식품과의 접촉 가능성이 낮은 구역에서는 윤활식 롤러 체인도 여전히 사용할 수 있습니다.
스테인리스강 롤러 체인은 산성, 알칼리성 및 저온 환경에 특히 강합니다. 스테인리스강은 탄소강보다 부드럽기 때문에 윤활유를 사용해도 체인에 이물질이 침투하는 것을 효과적으로 방지할 수 없습니다. 스테인리스강 롤러 체인은 일반 체인보다 강도가 높지만 탄소강 체인만큼 강하지는 않습니다. 오염이 심한 환경에서 롤러 체인을 사용하는 경우에는 스테인리스강 체인을 사용하는 것이 좋습니다.
본 발명은 기존 체인보다 효율적인 경량 양단형 스터드 체인에 관한 것이다. 스터드 체인은 봉강을 다이 단조하여 대략적인 형상의 링크로 제작된다. 이 방법은 굽힘으로 인한 전단 강도 손실을 방지하고 용접 부위를 최소화한다. 양단형 스터드 체인은 무게가 가볍고 피로 손상에 대한 저항성이 우수하다.
이 체인은 스터드형 디자인을 채택하고 있습니다. 스터드형 디자인은 인장 강도를 높이고 꼬임을 방지합니다. 각 스터드는 금형 단조로 제작되며, 일반적으로 'e'자 또는 'th'자 모양입니다. 하지만 모든 스터드의 단면 모양이 균일할 필요는 없으며, 용도에 따라 다양한 단면 모양을 사용할 수 있습니다.
스터드 체인은 체인에 스터드가 일체형으로 되어 있어 마찰식 구동 방식보다 효율적입니다. 스터드 링크는 파손에 강하며, 컨베이어 체인이나 어업 분야에 사용됩니다. SBC 소재로 제작된 보트 체인에 대한 마모 시험 결과, 스터드 체인이 마찰식 구동 방식보다 효율적인 것으로 나타났습니다. 스터드 체인의 적용 분야는 빠르게 확대되고 있습니다.
양쪽 끝에 스터드가 있는 체인은 고하중 용도에 더욱 효율적입니다. 체인 내부 전체 폭에 스터드가 있어 꼬임을 방지합니다. 이러한 유형의 체인은 중량물 운반 기계에 흔히 사용됩니다. 다른 유형의 체인으로는 롤러 체인, 동력 전달 체인, 부싱 롤러 체인 등이 있습니다. 이러한 유형의 체인 또한 오토바이, 자전거 및 운송 수단에 널리 사용됩니다. 스터드 체인은 효율성이 높을 뿐만 아니라 마찰 구동 체인보다 마모 문제도 적습니다.
마모율과 마찰 시간의 차이에 대한 연구 결과, 스터드 체인이 마찰 구동 방식보다 효율적이라는 것이 밝혀졌습니다. 마찰 스트립은 시험 시작 시점에 측정하였고, 6시간 후(10080회)에 탈거하여 동일한 직경을 갖는 사진을 촬영했습니다. 경계값으로, 마찰 스트립의 직경이 기존 체인보다 작았습니다. 이는 본 발명이 마찰 구동 방식보다 우수한 내마모성을 가지고 있음을 보여줍니다.
피벗 체인은 다양한 용도로 사용되는 다목적 컨베이어입니다. 낮은 후면 지지대, 짧은 후면 지지대 간격, 제품이 연결부에 달라붙어 뻑뻑해지는 것을 방지하는 후면 개방형 디자인이 특징입니다. 스테인리스강 및 탄소강 부싱 핀 체인은 사전 회전 롤러가 없습니다. 이와 대조적으로 버킷 엘리베이터는 피벗 체인을 사용하지 않습니다.
